GULLEY PARK NATATORIUM

SECOND YEAR - SPRING SEMESTER - 2021

This project began with playing with the idea of what a “block” is. The early process work interpreted the idea of a block to create a unique design of individual bricks that could connect together into a corner and a span construct. This study segued into designing a natatorium set in a local park that utilized the earlier span construct. The block span arched over the pool space in the natatorium, and also inspired the design of the other segments of the building.
